Some of the NDE’s beneficiaries, he said
“The federal government is significantly focusing on helping young people who are unemployed by implementing various interventions to at the very least help them become self-employed.
“40 recipients out of 100 received credit packages totaling between N250,000 and N500,000 at the conclusion of a recent NDE program on entrepreneurship, and they are already operating genuine enterprises.
“The Rural Employment Promotion Department of the NDE recently taught 93 trainees in agriculture who were each awarded credit packages worth N100,000.
Some of them purchased cows, while others engaged in agricultural production; yet others were involved in the value chain of agriculture and had even begun hiring labor, according to Mr. Yaya.
He noted that some of the recipients of the Extended Special Public Works, who received N60,000 each, banded together into a cooperative society and pooled their funds to purchase cows.
He said that the cows were slaughtered after three months to obtain larger seeds.
funding to launch a variety of small companies in local neighborhoods.
“The federal government is actually having a significant impact on the nation’s unemployment problems.
ITF had encouraged me to participate in their program, and we have seen young entrepreneurs who received loans and have already started hiring employees,” he stated.
Mr. Yaya mentioned the CBN’s Nirsal Microfinance Bank as another organization that supports and helps unemployed youngsters become labor employers.
“The Bank of Agriculture is also a partner in our success if you look at them.
Some NDE trainees who were turned down for loans by the directorate were connected to the bank, where they are now able to obtain loans, the man said.
He exhorted those who have benefited from various federal government interventions to make the most of their opportunities.
