Reporting to the post’s Human Resources Officer, with guidance from the Post Talent Care Committee and technical support from the MED/CP/OHW Wellness Team, the Talent Care Coordinator would initiate and administer a process that coordinates the several programs related to the Department’s Talent Care initiative and provide strategic planning and initiation of a comprehensive wellness program.

The Talent Care Coordinator talons tallest acronym in the Department of State’s burgeoning family services portfolio. This job is a trifecta of human resources, community relations and operations tasks. This is a high profile position in a very challenging environment.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with the implementation and maintenance of an employee wellness program; coordinating the development, implementation and maintenance of a standardized performance measurement system for all employees; and conducting and implementing an employee-based performance assessment program utilizing an online employee-oriented feedback system.

A thorough understanding of and adherence to company policies and procedures is also mandatory. This is a very challenging and rewarding position. Applicants must be highly motivated, have excellent organizational skills and possess strong interpersonal communication skills.

Job Duties

Talent coordinators work with high-powered entertainment agents to find, book and schedule talent for live shows. They also handle the audition process, create reports and recommendations, and negotiate contracts.

The job requires a bachelor’s degree in event planning or the equivalent in years of experience, along with excellent organizational and communication skills. Self-starters who can manage multiple requests simultaneously and work well under pressure are best suited to this role.
